Wouldnt 4 8s be similar to 2 12s in cone area? Also more motor power? Especially being 2 12s sealed vs 4 8s ported?

4 8's in 3.5 cubes ported, can tell ya right now ain't gon' happen. What is your exact measurements to work with? You may have to settle for a single ported 10 or a few 8's.

4 8s is about 200sq inches of cone area and 2 12s is about 226sq inches. The 12s have slightly more cone area

Ill get those measurements tonight. If I remember right, It was around that 3.5 Cubes. I can always stick with sealed subs if I have too, but if I have the option to run a ported enclosure with the right subs, proper box design I will.

Also thank you to everyone whos commented. I appreciate it.

t-lines are pretty simple in concept. in all reality they are probably easier than a ported box.

Eh, it depends upon the enclosure for the sub(s) really. I mean I've been building enclosures since the 90's so the t-line wasn't any more difficult or easy...just a few more pieces of wood to assemble. It has a large bandwidth between 30-90Hz.

3.5 is more than enough for some 8" subs. The sa-8 v3 require .5 minimum. I have 4 in a small box I forget what is is 2.2 maybe, anyways I feel like it does pretty darn good in my truck.

Perhaps some, ported.....but that might be pushing it.

all you have to do is take Sd and make a tunnel that is 1/4 the length of the hz you want to tune to. It's basically IB unless you're building more pressure inside of the line.
