    Need help another blown sub in my bass tube!!

    I have a bass tube for my truck what sub can I put in it that will last and not blow, I tried the Audiobahn Alum12q and it lasted like 2 months and blew on me. The tube was hooked up to a 1000 watt Rockford power amp. Can someone help me or email me with some help

    What size is the tube? Is your amp 1000 watts peak or rms? Then I can help you.

    12' tube and im not sure a bout the amp its the grey Rockford Fosgate Power I think its rms

    im almost certain, that if u stop with the bass tubes, run the amp at 2 ohms and get a compvr, you'll be MUCH happier.

    i bet it wasnt 1000 watts rms. You would more than likely know if it was rms because the price would remind you. I bet you were underpowering that thing then turning it up till distortion. yea jus screw the bass tube junk and build a good box

    I have 2002 Lincoln Navigator and i didnt want to take out the 3rd row so i got a tube

    There are way too many variables that could make the driver blow. We dont have enough info, or accurate info (you arent even sure what your amp is beside it being RF, 1000 watts of some sort... and gray). I suggest you take your system to a trained professional who can help you.

    The tube is wood and carpeting a standard base tube, i didnt think i would need professional advice on what kind of sub i could buy I mean i know how to shop for them I just keep failing.
