    Can a 4 ohm single voice coil sub be hooked up to run at 1 ohm?

    I have a mc1000d sub that at 1 ohm can pump out 1100 watts... but i have 2 aw150ts that are single voice coil high excursion subs... Is it possible to wire them parrallel and into 1 ohm impedence.. if it is... can a diagram be drawn up... I have hooked up dual voice coils to 1 ohm but a single... well Gimme Input please!!!



    2001 Ford Ranger Edge( extended cab with body kit)
    1- mc1000d Memphis amp
    2- AW150t (15 inch subs 600watt RMS 1000 peak)
    4-15-PR57S (5" x 7") component speakers Memphis
    1-Ported box 3 cubic ft.
    1-Autopage alarm(cpx-2600)
    4 guage powerwire-Stinger

    If the subs are SVC4, you can either wire them in series for an 8 ohm load or parallel for a 2 ohm load.

    there is no possible way. period. you'd have to have 4 4 ohm subs to wire down to 1 ohm, or 2 2 ohms..

    i'm talking SVC here. But anyways, there is no way around ohms law.. sorry man
