How would this box do for my SExxx's?

Right now i have my 2 12'' SExxx's in a sealed box. I have the oportunity to buy a subzone z series vented box for cheap and its new. The specs are 1.5 cubes per sub and its tuned to 38 hz. I heard 2 12'' H2's in this same model box and they were loud. Would it be noticable louder then my sealed box? The only thing i am worried about is the 1.5 cubes per sub.

I wouldn't buy prefab boxes at all. But that is just me.... much better to build them yourself or have a pro build you one

It would be loud, yes, but with a big peak around 45 it wont sound very good

From what i hear and have seen sub zone boxes are very good quality. They actually make boxes for specific subs. The box is this one http://www.subzoneusa.com/2004zv_series.htm it is the dual 12 model with 1.5 cubes per sub.

Build your own. It's not that hard. Goto www.gnomeaudio.com - fill out the quote sheet and put "PLANS ONLY" and he'll design you one!

Re: How would this box do for my SExxx's?

See i dont have the time nor the tools to do it properly. Plus i am getting it cheap. Trust me i am a mech and i would love to make it myself. What i really wanna know is how it would sound since its a little small, compared to the sealed box that i have now.

Blasphamy!!!!!! If you have the room give em each at least ported 2ft^3 each. They will be signifigantly louder than a sealed enclosure. I stepped mine up from about 2.5 cubes ea to about 3.3 each and noticed a good difference. Though most of that difference was probably alot better box construction.

I really dont have the room, my trunk is hard to get deep boxes into and the rear seats dont fold down.
