Anyone tried two different subs at the same time?
Anyone used two different subs at the same time, just tried it out, how it sounds like or just play with your systems. For example using like 2 12" Type-R and 2 12" Punch He2....

my cousin has. he used 1 mtx5000 12'' and 1 mtx6000 12''. it sounds ok but, using different subs can sound slightly different than two of the same.by them not having the exact same specs, they arent probably being pushed the same. one sub may be more closely matched to enclosure specs than the other.
just my 1 cent.
try using two of the same subs, you might like it. make sure that the ohms of each sub is the same ex.....4ohm+4ohm, 8+8, etc.... never mix like 4+8 or 2+4ohm
, doing so will most likely screw your amp and or subs!!

Isn't the MTX5000 an 8-ohm sub? I can't remember.

you can get it in 4 or 8 ohm.

Yeah,,, I took one of my HE2s out its sealed box of 2 and put in a thunder 6000(stupid idea) just to see what would happen and it ripped all around the excursion. Thank god for that 4yr warranty and and hook up at the local Circuit City,,,i got a new one with no argument. It was the sweetest thing ive ever seen though. I guess its supposed to be coo when its hooked up to a RF 500. Peace
