    ohmage

    So I see they make a 2 ohm and a 4 ohm type are. my question is can I run the 4 ohm at 2? I know I cant run the 2 at 4.

    You can run a dual 2ohm at 1 or 4ohm and you can run a dual 4ohm at 8 or 2ohm.

    Can I take 1 4 ohm type r and run it at 2 ohms with a monoblock or should I just get the 2 ohm sub?

    If the subwoofer is a single voice coil 4 ohm woofer then you can only run it at 4 ohms. If your amp is 2 ohm stable get the 2 ohm sinlge voice coil type arhh. If the subwoofer is a dual voice coil subwoofer than get the dual 4 ohm coil subwoofer

    ok so if its a dual voice 4ohm I can run it at 2 ohms?

    My Minivan Setup:
    • Head Unit: Kenwood KDC-BT852HD
    • Speakers: 4 Pioneer TS-D6902R coaxials on 2 SONY Xplod XM-1002HXs (The old school, made in Japan ones), ~100W RMS @ 4Ω to each
    • Subwoofers: 2 Rockford Fosgate P210S8 10"s in a custom 2.75ft³ ported enclosure tuned to 35Hz on a Kenwood KAC-9103D, ~400W RMS @ 4Ω to the pair
