I'm looking to spend up to 300 bucks on a amp to power 2 10 inch subwoofers. Should I get a mono amp and hook them up in series/parallel, or a 2 channel amp? I'm a little new to this and a little help would be much appreciated.

It depends. If the subs are low in wattage, and the amp is pretty big. I would recommend you connect them at a higher ohms. If you get a low wattage amp and your subs require more wattage, than connected them at a lower ohms like 1-ohm. I would not go below 1-ohm simply because most (all) amplifiers dont accept lower than 1-ohm, some amps can take 2-ohms as their lowest.Originally Posted by kungpow87
Get a 300/1 JL Audio, or a JBL 600.1, but I would go with a JBL 600.1 its cheap and the RMS is 600watts at 1-Ohm.
How about telling us the rms of the subwoofers so that we can give u some detailed help....
Sorry if I didn't give enough information. I was thinking about the Infinity Kappa 100.3se or the 100.3dvc the. The power range on those two is around 50-275 watts. I'm still a little confused about the dual 4 ohm impedence. Thanks for the info.
