Where should my sub face ....... hatchback

    Hi,

I have a nissan micra hatchback, going to fire it up with a single DD9515e and just wondering where should I face my sub, up, back to the hatch door or face the backseats?

The dimension I have is just the boot space and I am going to use the entire boot, that's the area under the parcel shelf (under window) with backseat sitting at the lock position.

Also what's the effect of facing the sub close to the hatch door or backseat? maybe 2 inches away...

    Thanks

If u put it directly against the back of the hatch, it would sound good. or if u face it towards the hatch, the Sound waves will bounce off it n come back to you. Which will sound good.

slot port.. but my question is also that the box is going to be ver big or big enough to take up the entire boot, kind of like kissing the hatch door.. will that affect anything. It's not like a sedan where I have plenty of room left between the rear and the sub face.

Also can I have a port that face upwards? so I can vent the pressure back into car.

As long as you have about 4 inches on top of that speaker you will be fine. Just enough room for the excursion outer limit to be reached. Bass wave legnth takes a full 4 feet to open all the way up. So the further you are away from the speaker the better the sound is going to be. Face it towards the rear, or and an angel shooting up and rear.

Go CRX style with driver facing up towards the glass and the port firing frontward.
