Looking to add a little bass, suggestions.

Hey guys, well I believe that my system is finally sold (Two Elemental Design e15K's and BEtter Audio 1600M1 @ 2ohms for 1000W)

Now I want to add something a little less than what I had. I have Kicker Resolution components and a indash screen for my deck, and everything sounds good for acoustic stuff, but I want to be able to add that bass to fill in whats missing in the rap songs, however I do not want a SPL sub. I want a sub that has great SQ since I'm mostly wanting a SQ system, but enough SPL to fill my 96 Blazer.

Maybe a single sub 800W system would do. Not looking to spend over $400 for sub and amp, what would you suggest?

My first choice would be either the Image Dynamics ID or IDQ line or the Adire Audio Shiva. I have an ID8 v3 and it hits much harder than I thought it would. If I wasn't a serious bass head I could stop there, since everyone who's heard my system as it is now thinks it sounds awesome. Of course I have a sedan and the 8 fires off the rear glass so a 12" ID or IDQ would probably be better for filling a Blazer. I know Sound Domain currently has a 10-20% off sale on their ID subs along with free shipping. My Adire Shivas cost me $125 a piece shipped and they will do 650w RMS. I haven't put them in my car yet but I have listened to them and they sound nice. As always look into eD and RE as well, but I have not been fortunate enough to hear those in an install.

400 dollars isnt alot to work with for a sub and amp to get some nice SPL... get 100 more and in my eyes you'll be set!

I spent 510 TOTAL with sub and amp and mine POUNDS! (to see what I have look VIA sig.)

    Thats just my opinion

I'm thinking an E13Ov2 sub/Nine.1 amp combo would be nice. Just a little over $400 I think. I'd get the 16" but I want to keep the box below my window line, and I don't believe I'll be able to do that with a 16.

I say a Tempest in about 5 cubes and about 500-800 watts would do the trick

If not, the Shiva is also a great choice...

Oh yeah... I'm also trying to cut down the box size lol. Right now my e15K's are in a 8ft^3 tuned to 35hz. Looking to go around 3-4ft^3 max.

I think maybe a single 15" would work well in a box that size. My 2 Shivas are going into a 5 cu ft. box tuned to 28 Hz. I imagine you could also put a Tempest in a 3-4 cu ft box as well and have it sound pretty good.
