    Need help with 3 12" subs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have 3 six ohm 12" subs wired in parallel, bridged into one channel on a 4 channel amp. (The other 2 channels aren't being used) My amp is not 2 ohm stable and shuts itself off when the bass gets to loud. What would be the best way to configure the subs so that the amp doesn't protect itself? Could I wire 2 of the subs in parallel and the 3rd sub wire in series? What ohm load would that give me? Or would it be best to wire everything in series? I don't want to lose much power though 'cuz i love the way it sounds in parallel it just can't take the load! :p

Ok look at it this way either get another amp or diffrent ohm subs or just get rid of one sub. But tell me if your subs are dvc or svc subs.

Well, i bridged 2 subs to my subwoofer channel and i bridged the other sub to my rear output channel. How many ohms would this put out if my 3 subs are 6 ohms apiece? It seemed to work fine but i don't know if it is too much for the amp or not!

    Check it out

Try to find some DVC's for more wiring compatability. What are the specs on your amp and i might be able to help you out a little. IF you can find some DVC's you can pour on the bass with more power instead of more distortion. I dont really know what your workin with but post a note and maybe i can help. Peace

Ok your best bet is wire two of the subs in parelell and the other sub just wire it to the rear channel like you said and that should work ok whats your amp model?

I bought a 'temporary' amp. Its a Lanzar 430 rated at 125w x 4 rms(i think) I'll eventually change the subs and the amp but i want it to last for about 2 months like this. I know i need to get some 8 ohm speakers and that would solve all my problems but i bought a clearance item sub box 'cuz it was a decent price for 3 decent subs. If i had known they were only 6 ohm subs i would have bought something else.
