    Wanna buy a basspack !

Hello guys, I'm new here and I want to put some bass in my car, something little/cheap preferable a pack of sw+amp+cable kit to do my life easier. The problem is I found in my country's stores 2 nice packs from Mac Audio and 2 from MTX:

    1st - Mac Audio MPE 112BP + Mac Audio MPX 2500
I've heard about this amp it's get overheating very fast in summer if you listen at a medium-high volume ? Also, does it rlly give 240W at 4ohms RMS or is just marketing and the value is arround 100-150W ?

2nd - Mac Audio SX 112 Reflex + Mac Audio ZX 2000 Black Edition
About this amp I found it would give 280W at 4 ohms RMS but again the same question, marketing ?

    3rd - MTX RT12DV + MTX RT251 (w/o cable kit) Isn't 150W too low for a sub like that ?

    4th - MTX RT12AV + MTX RT602 (w/o cable kit) Same question, just 180W ?

My HU is a Kenwood KDC-3057UR with Hertz DSK 165.3, the sound is great in comparation with stock HU and speakers I had but I'm a bass lover and this system doesn't give me any. The car is a Dacia Logan (year 2007, sedan) and if this matter in choosing a subwoofer my fav music is hip hop. Hope I'll can find a nice sub with your help guys, thank you !

Re: Wanna buy a basspack !

if you really love bass, none of those will satisfy you. since i dont know what they have in romania, i'm going to assume they have generic mainstream brands. Look for an alpine type R and a 1000 rms alpine monoblock amp if you want to get decently loud. Make a custom enclosure, none those prebuilt boxes will sound any good or get you loud. Getting loud is mainly based on the design of the enclosure and how well it works with your car.

Clip city b1tch, clip clip city b1tch. 10's, 12's, 15's, goin up in flames b1tch.
    2009 Sienna 3.5L Subs : C2 threatcon 15s. Sub amp: hifonics brx 2400.1D x 2
Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS bought used from vertex audio Mids/Highs amp: PPI Phantom 900.4 - bought from dragnix
Front stage: 3 way active front stage with Massive Audio CKX tweets, alpine type R 6x9 midbass in doors + DB drive pro audio 6.5 in the kick.
320 amp Singer alt almost installed. 0 gauge Audio technix ofc all around, 2 group 31 agms in the back.

Re: Wanna buy a basspack !

Well the basic problem is I have a limited budget arround max 200 euro, I wanted to make something custom too about the box of sub but I can't make it myself and to pay some1 to make it is already to expensive. It will be my first subwoofer, maybe I will get an upgrade in future.

    Alpine
    Audiobahn
    Audison
    Blaupunkt
    Clarion
    Coustic
    Crunch
    DB Audio
    DLS
    Eton
    Focal
    Ground Zero
    Helix
    Hertz
    Hifonics
    In Phase
    Infinity
    JBL
    JL Audio
    Juice
    Kenwood
    Kicker
    Mac Audio
    Magnat
    Match
    MB Quart
    MTX
    Pioneer
    Renegade
    Rockford Fosgate

And about amps I've got almost same vendors. Btw, 200 euro in my money means arround ~900 lei which is the max budget, is there any possibility to do something decent in those money ?

Translation for website : "Mai multe produse" = More products, in some pages aren't shows all models so u must select the category.

Well, car audio is rather expensive there isn't it?

JBL wouldn't be a bad choice. There's a lot of high end brands there, but you end up running out of budget. I really recommend against getting a prefab box unless it's sealed.

If you have to go with a prefabricated box, only buy a sealed box, not a ported box. A properly built ported box will have more output, but most prefabricated boxes are not designed properly.

And from where do I know if a sealed box is designed properly ? Or that doesn't matter and only the volume counts ? When you said the JBL wouldn't be a bad choice u reffer to this ? Isn't there any better solution ? Anyway, a sealed sw with that power is enough for my car ? A lot of people told me for some bass I'll need at least 3-400W.

    Build your own box!

You will NOT get a good subwoofer and amp in your budget outside USA. Considering the prices people in Europe pay for entry level stuff you'll be hard pressed getting even a small amp, sub, box, + all the wiring you'll need for 200E

I would also recommend JBL for a consistent product.

Re: Wanna buy a basspack !

I will try to find ppl who can build a box for me, the main problem is I live in a small apartment in town and I don't have the necesary unelts to build my self a box and as u know who build boxes do it for money+cost of materials it would kick my a/s/s a little. All the wiring are cheap, I don't make problems with these, I found a package of cables with double shielded RCAs/fuse/remote etc at 10 euro. Now about the sub speaker, 'cause u recommanded JBL so much, I'm gonna think they're trully good, right ? JBL GTO 1214 12"/350W RMS would be good for a sealed box ? I'm thinkin' to leave the reflex or bandbass or all others and go for quality and deep kick ?

    LE:

    JBL GTO1214 12" Tehn Details

Who can help me with dimensions of box ? I can find some1 to build a sealed box for me buy I need the project for it, the box can be made with MDF (or wood which can be better?) but with what thickness ? And also where should I put the speaker, can it be in the center, does that matter ? If some1 can make me a scheme I'll be grateful !

Re: Wanna buy a basspack !

I looked it up on JBL's website and Owner's Manual and they do not specify the enclosure volumes. They actually just say there are many good ones on the market. http://www.jbl.com/images/media/GTO_1214_OM_EN.pdf

However, Sonic Electronix suggests a sealed enclosure of 1 cubic foot.
