what model is your amp? I'd go with the american bass xfl, they get lower and louder easier than the 15" type R.

BK1300.1D or BK1800.1D depends on what sub i end up getting. I'm liking the looks of the American Bass xfl15! Thanks for the suggestion.

look at the c2 audio from carstereo giant, when you go to the 1800w you will need at least 1 extra battery at the back to keep up with the voltage.

Re: Need help with picking out my first subwoofer

I was looking at the xfl 15 on the American bass website and i noticed that they only had the 4 ohm version. So i did a Google search and found a xfl 15 in a 2 ohm version. My question is why doesn't the American bass website carry the 2 ohm one. or maybe is it because it is a different generation sub idk???

Jim is Great to deal with, without any BS,and gets your items shipped quickly, and is an auth.Dealer for American Bass, and you get a FULL Warranty with your purchase. The XFL series subs are outstanding. One 12 is amazing..I cant imagine a 15 on 800-1200 watts rms in the right enclosure
