I'd take the BL over the HDC3 in all honesty, especially if you are going to be tuning around 32. The AQ amp you were originally going to buy would work for either sub just fine, but so will the B2 amp. The difference in output between 1200 and 1500 watts is not very much. The most important part of the sub stage is the enclosure, that will make or break your system. If you aren't going to be doing much for electrical upgrades I'd take the AQ over the B2 amp because it will draw less current.
So hdc3 12 with the aq 1200d... tunning of the box ...???????
If you are looking for output only, tuning around 38 or so will work. If you want to kill the lows, you should tune 30-32.
I have seen a lot of ppl tuning this sub like 34-35.. ? its my first box tuning and *** its not that simple ahha
It really depends on your goals, and what kind of music you listen to. Very few songs play in the low 30s, unless it is decaf, or some other slowed/boosted music.
dubstep rap hip-hop... I think 35 will be good ?
35 should be alright, if you listen to decaf or other slowed/boosted music, you might wanna drop it to 30-32. Probably lose a little overall output, but you will be able to play lower.
hdc3 12 with the aq1200 wired 1ohm + big box tune to 35 hz ... that will be good ?![]()
Should be fine, I'd hit up Buck on this site, he does great designs, and can get some more info from you and design something to fit your needs.
nice thanks .. and in the future if I want more can I wired it to .5 ohm ?
I would do the bl or a lvl 4 tuning 35 or under. 40 plus the AQ
