you have to shim the gap...
this ^^^^.
It is quite easy to pull the coil out of alignment in the gap if you don't line up the surround correctly.

i know, i know. it's how i am and it ***** lol. i guess i'll get the glue and do it. if it sounds alright, good, if not, maybe i'll try to reshim it. i went to the store and they didn't have ca glue. idk if anyone around has it. i may try amazing goop but i live at an apartment and it says to leave it in an open space like outside but it's snowing lol.
Re: subwoofer surround separating from basket - will glue do the trick?
do it in the bedroom for gods sake its just glue fumes fawk.
If you have the original gasket it will put the surround in its proper resting point. Have done many many surround swaps and never had to shim.
Re: subwoofer surround separating from basket - will glue do the trick?

Re: subwoofer surround separating from basket - will glue do the trick?
