If you really have $1500 to spend, get a HiFonics 2400w amp, 4 Obsidian or Sundown SA 15s. Buy some quality 1/0 wire, a secondary battery (Super Start Extreme which is actually a rebadged Deka) and then have @pro-rabbit build you a nice box for it all. Grab you a decent Pioneer, Alpine or Clarion deck and you will rattle anything in your car you want.
Someone tell me if that breaks the $1700s. I haven't done low budget systems in a loooooooong time.
