How much of a difference between 400RMS and 1200RMS?

Between a Kicker CVR12 at 400RMS and a AB XFL12 at 1200RMS, how much louder would the XFL be?

Depends on the enclosure, the amp pushing them, vehicle, etc. You can't really say with such vague descriptions. The XFL is much better though.

Depends 90% on the box.

The kicker is on a ****** "1000w" Boss amp and the XFL would be on a Hifonics Brutus 1200.1.

My current enclosure is a 1.3cubic feet ported box with poly batting. I haven't looked into custom boxes because they are expensive from what I've seen. I know prefabs are bad too.

I mean... you might as well throw in a year's time lapse between comparison while you're at it.

No... for some people that could be a tough decision (no love for the thick brunettes?) . Between the AB XFL and CVR, that's a pretty easy decision imo

Loves me some thick brunettes.

Take time to build a great system, and you save money in the long run, all it takes is a jigsaw and a circular saw to build a box, and then you'll save 100's doing it yourself.

The upgrades I'd like to do is:
Metra dash for a touch screen in my 2012 Ford Focus ~ $400
Touch Screen Headunit ~ $400
Speakers and amp ~ $600ish I think
Sub with amp and box ~ $800

The most money I've had at one time is $700 let alone $2,200

If its not going in a new box dont bother

Your numbers are really high, I've got less than that in my system.

Cut that about in half and you're closer.
