yea box needs to be re designed. you should def be doing more then a 146 or 147 with 4 15s

This depends on power... Jon Armault (HiSpls) has a very nice setup with 4 Sundown 15 hybrids in a jeep tuned to like 40+hz and only smack a 149 but he also is only running like 5k to them.

If you have room for 4 15's why replace with 2 15's and not 2 18's. Nowall astros with 2 18's can break a 160, so box is definitely your problem.

this is true. im just saying with a better box design they should be able to be higher numbers. ive never seen the sundown hybrids so im not to familiar with the size and motor power. with my 1 hdc3 18 i was doing 147+ and power wise i had a planet audio bb2400.1, rated 2400@1ohm(actually clamps about 1800 @ 1ohm )...after voltage drop and imp rise it was probly only seeing about 1000rms if even that much. i had a street box, no wall.

I think proper airspace should not be undermined. Obviously, your not gonna beat 4 15"s with 2 in terms of shear output, but the 2 in a huge proper sized box may sound better and probably get lower.

eh its not the greatest cuz last set up i had hit 146.7 with 4 alpine type r 15s tuned to 29hz on a saz 2500...
but like i said the gain was suppa low cuz i thought i had burned um out(due to smell) lol

2 12s can do 147s on 5,000. 4 15s should definitely be at 149-151

i did 146.7 on 4 15s with ONE sundown saz 2500/ my current set up im running bc 5500 but i think its partially subs fault lol box builder is pretty well known for his work & has alot of good boxes, he hit higher score with 4 10s in his 4th in a camry

like i said SOUND better these honestly sound good but i didnt exactly go for numbers had it running at 2 ohms for all 4 decided to drop it to .5 at comp just to see what scare i was at then but i demod a bit at .5 it got super stinky so i set gain really low then was rushed to test at hit that im more then positive i can retest an get a better score but that was my rushed quarter gain score, no excuses just explanation ..

cool ima just stick with 15s just replace the ones i got with beefier ones
