Two Systems - Choose The Right One For Me
So - thanks to mylows10 it looks to be between 2 systems. I need everyone's help.
I haven't a clue if this is do-able, but I would like to be heard blocks away. I want my beats real fast and my bass down low.. sorry.. had a moment.
So I would like SQL. more than 40 inches in the trunk. 2006 Hyundai Sonata.
setup one:
4 ch x 4rms American bass amp
American Bass vfl 100.1 1500 watts rms
2 12" xfl subs in custom box
New components in all doors (not sure of the brand, I'm assuming American bass)
setup two:
two id max 12" sub's in custom box
vfl 120.1 amp
HD-61a comp speaks
vfl 150.4 amp for comp speaks
…or something completely different? I'm leaving this blind decision to you guys. I plan on getting it all within the next 1-2 weeks.

Second setup would be louder and have more SQ. The first setup could easily use a much bigger sub amp though

mylows10 - when you talk about a custom box would I be getting something like the pic attached? I am wanting SLQ.. not SL.. so a ported box would just give me SL, right?

Ported can sound just as good as a sealed box. All depends on the design.
IDMax setup all the way with a different set of comps.

Image Dynamics CXS62's or XS65's if you can find a good deal. Either set will crush the CDT's your considering.
