For an amp, grab an AQ3500D.1, they're on sale right now. AQ3500D.1 Amplifier

Grab a pair of 12" subs that will handle around 1500-2000W RMS. DC, SA, DD, Fi, AQ, AB, there's a lot.

Look around for HO alternators for your vehicle, you're going to need one. DC Power Inc, Mechman, Ohio Generator, Tenney. Get the biggest you can afford.
Going to need front and rear batteries too with that amp. And don't forget about wiring.

This should be right around your $2k mark. If not, step down to a 2kRMS amp. Will make everything cheaper. AQ's are good. I'd still do 2 12's

OP, grab that AQ I linked, and those DD's, you'll have a great start. Don't forget about a box ( @double 07 ), wiring, and an under-hood and rear battery.

So bottom line is i would like to know what subs will hit better "harder/louder" than a JL w7. There is a girl that i like and this kid that likes her has W7's and she loves bass. All i have is p2's.......... It may sound silly but i don't want to be bested by him. Only people that know what they are speaking on

But yes, he would probably do just fine with an AQ2200 and a pair of 12's.

Seriously!!! You dont need to spend 2k to get louder than a single w7.

First and for most you need to upgrade your electrical. your car's output is probably 110 at best. Get some 0ga wire (and dont go cheap on amazon.. like all things in life you get what you pay for) and do your big 3. you can get 16 0ga terminal rings on ebay for $20. Then grab a pair of hdc3's or even hdc4's.. Tantric is pretty promising!! @Boomsday ; can get you squared away on one or two C&D batteries and @Double07; will make you an amazing enclosure. DO NOT buy prefab boxes.. electrical and enclosures are the most important thing when building a system. You can have this thing in your car and slamming in a week or two.

Look into some sundowns or like they were saying DC's you maybwe able to get some Reconed stuff for good money. Look up Woofer Cooker hes usual;ly got something that will give the W7's competition. The xxx's are good but your budget of 2000 wont be able to do an amp to run them.
