Wiring a DVC and SVC to a mono amp

So my friend is totally set on running 2 mtx thunder 8000 supposed to be both dual 4ohm 400rms each but one of the set of leads is totally removed I have no idea why and I don't know how to solder on new leads.
So the one sub is essentially a dual 4ohm and the second is a single 4 ohm.
The amp is 2ohm stable alpine mrp-m1000.
How should I wire these up?

Electrical: Stock 140amp alt, Big 3, and a SHURiKEN SK-BT100

In the works: Diamond D9 12

are they new woofers? if they are, send the one back and get a new one.

that, or remove the terminals of the other sub.

yea I was considering that would the thermal power handling be 200 watts for each driver then ?
    but no they are used

lol, i was just kidding about knocking the other terminals off.

are you sure they're both supposed to be DVC subs?

Re: Wiring a DVC and SVC to a mono amp

He won't but I was actually considering just running one coil on the DVC and then the SVC sub ending in a 2 ohm load. is there a better option without fixing or replacing the sub?
if it were me I wouldn't have bought them in the first place but would definatly be getting rid them

You will wind up screwing the other sub up as well only running half of it. Get another onbe put the messed up on in the box n return.

Re: Wiring a DVC and SVC to a mono amp

yea I'm sure that it was once a dual 4 because I checked the mtx manual of the 2001 thunder 8000 and they didn't make a single voice coil 12" version
