BUILDING BOXXXX Questions
Whats up everyone im new here and im starting my build, getting ready for car season. I actually posted another thread looking for 2 12" subs to fit in my subaru forester. I want the box to be 4.5 - 4.7 cubes tuned to 32-34 hz but dont know which software to use. i recently used re box calculator to build my cousins boxx, apperently tuned to 32 hz for a single type r. the box plays way low and it seems likes its tuned too low. which software should i use to get best results.. right now im lookin at torres box tuning, and re box calc. any suggestions?
side note, does the more subs you get mean u can tune the box higher and it will still play loww?
Re: BUILDING BOXXXX Questions
the re box calc ,sux .i use a couple of other ones that are pretty easy ,but the torres is supposed to be one of the best ones

This isnt Facebook you need to add letters to every word... There are many members here that can design and build for you in the vendor section
Re: BUILDING BOXXXX Questions
I'm still confused on how to go about measuring the box and what is truly right... i went onto the12volt and used my dimensions to find just the box volume and it gave me a different answer than if i do it out. i might be doing something wrong here but i thought the way to get any box volume in ft^3 was to get outside dimensions subtrack thickness from L, W and H. Then multiply and divide answer by 1728. that would be the volume of the boxx.? my dimensions are 36 *14 *20. i got a volume of 5.2 and the 12 volt said 4.6??? anyone know anything on how to go about this?
Re: BUILDING BOXXXX Questions
4.6 is right....take 1.5"(if you're using 3/4" wood) off each dimension to find the internal volume
Re: BUILDING BOXXXX Questions
oooohh both sides lol right right thanxx.. i'm gonna make it 5ft^3 for both 12's to get nasty lows tuned to 33 hz. cant wait
