I'm going Dcon. Heard em' and they're impressive. Only experience I have with Dayton is a 12" HT sub. All I can say is for 120 shipped is WOW! It's impressive.

Yeah i love it, I thought about using it to run a pair of Daytons or some w6s(I get dealer cost new and local)... Id like to hear how it sounds running stereo, its rated 450 x 2 @ 2. It pushes the Hertz 15 its on now pretty **** well bridged at 4 ohms(rated 900x1), and even with a prefab ive been happy... cant wait for a custom enclosure.

Ridiculous box requirements for results that are moot in a car.

    Nice for HT though

Dayton HO should do very well in ported enclosure while still keeping box size reasonable (as far as 10 inch ported sub enclosures go). T/S parameters suggest a bias toward a ported enclosure.

A sealed box shouldn't be that large for that sub to work good.

A sealed box for that 12 is recommended to be 3 cubes for an F3 of 34hz. You can get similar or better FR with a less demanding sub, with better power handling in a ported box with better efficiency to boot.

The 10, maybe. It only wants 0.63cu sealed but yields an F3 of 45hz. Not all that impressive unless your cabin gain mates well with that box for a flat response. Even, in that case, that might not be what he wants.

    Re: ID or Dayton

    That is true.

I suspect one could use a larger box for the 10 and get better low frequency response.

Ported is ok unless he wants real good SQ.
