Re: Is this a good first 12" subwoofer setup?
Now I'm torn between the Pioneer and VVME. Both seem like they pack a punch but which will have a better quality AND loudness? I feel like the VVME probably gets pretty loud but does it really sound that great? How well do you think it transitions between notes/how deep of bass is clear? This is a tough decision, I was planning on ordering the things today but maybe I should wait. I COULD order one of these VVME's and see how it does, and if I'm not a big fan go for the Pioneer instead or vice versa - there's probably room in my budget.

Those pioneer aren't known for great sq, the Vvme sounded good but I'm not an sq buff either. I would run a pair of the jf's or if you're stuck on a single 12 one of the rd higher power models

I'm gonna order a couple vvme's and see what they do with 2100w to em

Re: Is this a good first 12" subwoofer setup?
So how about the Crunch PZA1500.1? Would it work well with the VVME? I ordered the VVME already so I should have that in a few days - just have to find an amplifier and the right box now. I also ordered a 4-gauge wiring kit.

Re: Is this a good first 12" subwoofer setup?
Another thing - I know it might sound stupid but should I just use regular 16 gauge speaker wire between the sub and the amp?
