Looking for Advice on Subwoofer SQ. Current Set up listed in post

I have a 97' Mustang Cobra Coupe.
Head Unit: Alpine CDE-HD138BT
Front Speakers: JL Audio C5-650
Rear Speakers: MB Quart 5.25 honestly can't remember these as they were from a while ago.
Subwoofer: JL Audio 8w6v series. Custom Sealed Enclosure
Amplifier: JL Audio HD 900/5
Crossover/EQ: Audio Control DQXS with DDC
Budget: In theory no limit?

I am looking to change Subwoofer. I really want something that sounds better. I honestly don't care if the output is lower. Although if it has better output it wouldn't hurt but I really want something that sounds better. I need recommendations please. I also don't mind going up to a 10" sub but nothing bigger as it seems like everything I listen to that is larger sounds like it has to much overhang (I think that is the right word if memory serves me). I look forward to your recommendations.

Sorry it is the V series. no budget actually. unless there is some subwoofer in car audio that is like thousands in which case 86 those. im willing to spend past the 1k line if need be for a single sub. i prefer only one sub as i really am really into SQ and if output is what i sacrifice it is ok

O wow just looked over the specs on the Morel Ultimo that thing looks really solid on paper. The local shop here carries JL but they dont have the 10w6 on display to listen to which leaves me to more than likely getting the Morel. Thank you for your help.

You need to head up 24 west to clarksville and see Sonus car audio off exit 1
They carry hertz / audison , focal, JL ,etc and are really some of the top sq guys in mid tn
Or about 15 min from them is audio specialist that carrie helix/brax I believe,
that way tou could demo and talk to some pretty good folks in the process

I went to Sonus car audio in clarksville tn. Ended up buying dynaudio esotar 1200 and set of 6.5 component audison voce avk6. These things sounded amazing. Fantastic shop cant wait for these to be in my car. Thank you for the heads up on this shop
