I want to buy 2 cvr 15s and run them off a hifonics brutus amp and I wanted to know the differences between the 2 and 4 ohm models. And does 2 ohm mean I wire it straight to the sub and not the terminal on the box??

Something tells me 2 15s won't work in a IS300 if that's your car and CVRs may not be your best choice.
But 2 ohm vs 4 ohm just helps u match up to your amps required impedance for the power u need. What Brutus amp do u have? They are 1 ohm stable so you'll need dual 4s and need to wire them to 1 ohm.

This. Wiring a couple of 2”VC subs down to one ohm on one of those bigger brz's would not be good. And one nice sub is better than two very mediocre kickers, op. Especially in a car that size.Originally Posted by Dtrom

Wiring configuration. Two dual 2ohm subs can either be wired at 2 ohm or .5 ohm... Two dual 4 subs can be wired at 4 or 1 ohm...

Your car won't support that amp. And like its been said. You won't get 2 15s back there ported. Not kickers for sure.

The 15s are already in the box in the back of my car I just need to know how I should wore them and my car can support that amp....

Wire it to 1 ohm and tell us what the voltage is at the amp. I would love to see this box that fits in your trunk.
