I know the v2 looks bad *** but besides that would u rather run the v2 a bit under power or the e v3 a bit over power. Thanks for input will the e 8 hit better the my 2 kicker comp 12's

I doubt the E8 will be louder than your kickers. I'd get the SA man.

or you could go 4 E8s. more cone area, less strain on VC's, slightly bigger enclosure, but hey it should rock. i think the 4 E8s on 1K will out perform the 2 SA8's ok 1Kw, but im not completley sure and im posative someone will correct me. and you can get 4 E8's for the cost of the SA8s.
Matt
I guess it depends on what you are really looking for out of these subs. I have had the SA-8 v.2's and I am currently running the E8 v.2's . The SA-8 v.2's were monsters for sure. I never had enough power to get them up to their full potential but they still were very impressive. With 500 watts a piece to the SA-8 V.2's they are still going to get down as I had less than that on mine and they were still crazy loud under 45 hz . Will easily top the E8's in output.
The E8's in my car are a lot more musical than the SA-8 v.2s were but they are not nearly as loud. If you can get use to the output of the E8's they are a great sounding sub. One of my favorites in that regard but unless you are running multiples I don't think two of them are going to get all that loud or last all that long on 500 rms a piece.

With four of the new E8 v.3's you would probably get louder as Jacob has said the new E8 v.3 is close to the SA-8 v.1 in performance but the E8 v.2's probably wouldn't be as loud as the two SA-8 v.2's on 1k . Just my opinion. I have three of the E8 v.2s on about 800 watts right now and they sound great but aren't nearly as loud as my SA8 v.2s were on the same power.

I've been wanting to try 2 of these Incriminator 8's on about 600 watts. They look nice too. Not as common as the Sundowns either. Here's a link: Incriminator Audio 8 I Series 300RMS 8" Subwoofer - SSA STORE Not bad for 95 bucks a piece.
That's really good points from Matt and spooney. When the e8v3's do release in mid jan along with the saz 1200 at the end of jan I'm going to do a smaller system for my work truck to see how they'll do. I'll run the 6.5" component set off the sax 125.4. Currently I'm running 4 sa8v2's on 2 1500's tuned to 35hz and that truck is stupid loud plus It'll do a small hair trick. Are you just doing a daily ground pounder or are you just wanting a little bump with the amp you have now? Trying to beat people who has 12" subs with more power than you will be very hard to do. I went up against jp (life of price) and didnt stand a chance. Plus, I went up against hvca, along 2 other people who were running 10k + and got my butt handed to me big time. That was all in fun though.
