Someone steer me in the right direction. I have a 02 4Runner, stock system, with a Scion TC Pioneer HU. Before I found this site, I searched on Crutchfield for a sub setup. I wanted to stay under $250. After the two options they gave me a Sound Ordnance B-12 sub with a Sound Ordnance M-2100 amp, or the Rockford Fosgate Punch P300-10 self powered. I googled the two, and found this site. I searched several threads on here from sub setup under this amount, and should i get this or that. Everything I found said stay away and save your money. So the question is what setup would you guys recommend? I noticed a lot of people said search the classifieds as well. Is there anything to be aware of when buying used? I was looking at new stuff on some of the forum vendors sites, because my gf is looking to get it for me for xmas.

and if this has been covered recently, can you please send me in the right direction

Is your $250 budget for sub amp and box?

If the head-unit has RCA outputs, then you're good if not, you'll have to change it or use a line-out converter, so if you wanted to include that in your budget, we'll need to know.

It will be hard to find booming bass for the amount you want to spend, but you can add a decent sub and amp for that much.

I have a JL 12w3v3 with either a 4ch. 400w amp, or a old school sony 800w 2 channel with two 25a fuses I'd do 200 plus shipping including the sealed box for the sub.

I've got a small 2 Channel as well that would power the JL W3 perfectly.

I need to pull the HU in the morning. I know some have the RCAs and some don't. I think the model I have doesn't. So I would need a line out converter. $250 is for everything. I know for the price I'm not going to get the best, but it's going to better then what I have now.

Get the dd. You wont be disappointed and It's a good deal.
