Re: 2 15" Kicker CVR vs. 1 15" Kicker CVX??
Okay I've decided the amp which is a 2400 watt hifonics Brutus that has an Rms of 1700w at 2 ohm. Now what would be a good sub that fits my description??
Re: 2 15" Kicker CVR vs. 1 15" Kicker CVX??

You didn't answer all of the questions asked.
Have you done any electrical work?
Re: 2 15" Kicker CVR vs. 1 15" Kicker CVX??
What do you mean by electrical work?

Big 3 (Wire from alt, battery, chasis) something like 0g
Alternator? How many amps is the alt. running?
Before you ask, stay away from capacitors and get yourself a 2nd batter. Speaking of, kind of battery are you running now?
You need better electrical. You can't expect your amp to put out as much power as you want if your electrical can't keep up with it. You'll have dimming lights, strain the alt, battery, etc. Your amp won't last long either, keep the voltage up.

Just cuz you go get a big amo doesnt mean your car can power it... What all do you have done to the car already? What money do you have to spend? How much space do you have exactly?
Re: 2 15" Kicker CVR vs. 1 15" Kicker CVX??
Well I have a brand new alternator installed last month and a new battery I think an everstart gold. And the 0g. New wired from alternator
Re: 2 15" Kicker CVR vs. 1 15" Kicker CVX??
And as I said I have a Lexus IS300 and about 400 to spend for sub and about 300ish for the amp

How big is the alt? What kind of amperage is it rated to put out? Or is it just stock?
Re: 2 15" Kicker CVR vs. 1 15" Kicker CVX??

So youll need a custom box and wiring as well...
Re: 2 15" Kicker CVR vs. 1 15" Kicker CVX??
The enclosure and wiring aren't my issue I have all new wiring and a box I'm just confused about what sub to get.
Re: 2 15" Kicker CVR vs. 1 15" Kicker CVX??
well that amp is too much for those cvrs...i would get 2 ab xfl 12s on that amp

You shouldn't be wired straight from your alt, for starters... About the enclosure... if its some garbage, made in a factory, box.... Its gonna have to go.
Re: 2 15" Kicker CVR vs. 1 15" Kicker CVX??
So you have 2 custom boxes, one for 2 15's and one for 1 15? Since that's the original question and you said you have a box, that's the logical deduction. But, I am going to say you probably don't. You need to measure the space you are willing to lose to a box in order to figure out what size/amount of subs to properly run.
