American Bass XFL or HD 12? - Daily - Or something else?

is the HD the one that is same as the konaki?

Note guys: I'm talking about the American Bass HD 12, when I say "HD". What to you think would be best for me? I want to push the 2000 watts from an Aq2200d, but I could tone it down.

then I would get a sub that REALLY handles 2000w, not get a sub that will take 2000w 'if you know what you are doing', imo

Yeah that's why I was leaning towards the AB HD 12, cause it handles more power. And to my theory, would get louder then the XFL. Although I heard they liked to be "tuned high", so I asked on here. I want to tune it low, preferably with my aq2200d. Which is why I looked away from the aw hdc12, cause from what I remember it doesn't handle that much power. I may be wrong.

fi q with cooling option and p chamber will take 2k fine and will get much lower and sound cleaner vs the aq or ab

I haven't had any problems with the new baskets. Although, if you stress any sub past their designed limits, something will break eventually. It just happens to be that soft parts are the weak link on these subs.

What should I select for the other options if I buy this? I'm not too familiar with sub design. So you think this would be a better option for me over the AB XFL or the AB HD?

Well if you're dead set on tuning low, then yes, that sub will work better and handle the power. The default selection on everything else should be fine. Make sure you get D2 coils so you can wire your amp to 1 ohm.

I would not put 2k daily to an fi q

i'm not too familiar with the new ones actually....when they first came out and everyone had them I don't think they could handle that?

new ones are much beefier 1500rms stock with cooling and pf chamber you get 400-500rms added in power handling

High QTS:
Heat Ring:
Internal Lead:

High qts is sealed. Heat ring for burping. The only thing that you could get are the leads which help with rise and lead slap

Thanks for the info. I'm still unsure. I now know more about the Fi Q 12", but I feel the American Bass HD 12 could get louder. ( Based on specs ) I haven't seen anyone run more then 1500 watts to a fi q 12''.

Out of the AB XFL, the AB HD, and the Fi Q, what are the pros and cons of each in comparison to each other?
