Subwoofer Maintenance?

I have a 10" kicker cvx powered by an alpine mrp450 pushing 400 watts wired at 2ohms. Sub's rms is 600w so im underpowering it, but I push this baby hard and it pushes right back. I've had it for 4 years now and kept it protected using a sub grill, but I want to keep it running good. I saw the sticky for sub motor polishing. Is this needed at this point, or is that for really old speakers? I also reconditioned the rubber on my car using 3m back to black and that stuff is amazing. Made my windshield wipers better, my windows seal better, and all rubber and vinyl look overall better. Should I use this on the cvx's rubber surround to keep the rubber conditioned and stitching good and looking fresh? Anything else to maintain a sub?

Also if I do take it out, I want to keep my box in good shape too. I've only taken the sub out 2-3 times, but I can tell where the screw holes went in the box. I would like to do the t nuts and bolts if I take it out. Can this be done on a sub that has already been screwed more than once (nonvirgin **** box)? If so should I position the nuts in a different spot (although this would put my sub at an angle and not look as cool)?

No maintenance is necessary. If it works don't fix it, some parts will wear out over time and eventually you will want to replace it, till then, just dust it off and you're good.

Im with fleece johnson up there, as long as its working normally no need to accidentally cause damage to it doing unnecessary work on it

K ya. I really didn't want to mess around with the magnet and or taking apart the sub. What about the rubber conditioner? Couldn't hurt right? I believe the 3m to be quality stuff but I wouldn't want it to dry down the road and lead to cracking or tearing from the stitching. And what about the t-nuts and bolts? Would like to do that as I may mess around with polyfill.

if your sub is in its proper enclosure shouldnt need to mess with polyfill . also not to be mean but it sounds like your trying to put a turbo on a yugo for lack of better works or polish a turd if the first one didnt make sence lol . not being mean just wheres all the effort coming from on a 4 year old sub that costs like 99$ new now

im sorry man i wasnt trying to sound liek that i jsut mean your not gonna improve your longevity or sound doing anythign you mentioned. is all i was getting at and it was only my opinion you were putting in alot of work into something i thoguht wasnt worth it

i dont think you need to condition rubber if its not in direct sunlight. foam i can understand it drying out and cracking, but as far as rubber goes i think it's good unless sunlight gets on it.

Ya i know man. I was just kidding too. I appreciate the advice cuz I really don't want to spend the time and effort if its not worth it. So thanks for helping me out. Now about those t-bolts.....

and t nuts are never a bad idea. Although with such a small sub there is no real need for it, but they wouldnt hurt.
