Depends on a few things. Spider size type material, motor being used, coil being used....blah blah... Lol I think its a bit over kill, but it is possible to make it work with the right combination.

Power HX2 10 uses a 4" coil with a single 8.5" spider. Beastly little subs and they get down.

Ok the size of the coil doesn't make a diff if its for sq or spl does it? Just power handling right?

    Re: 4" coil tens bad?

    totally depends the basket.
tc sounds sure cause you have 8.5" spider and another big one is cone to spider room.

it can be done on other baskets sure but WONT be a high excursion sub, a power hx2 or power dvc is far from a high excursion sub.
