I need to figure out what kind of subs i have and if spider should be replaced
I just got 2 10 inch jl subs and they are like 10 years old and the foam ripped. Im trying to figure out what kind i have so i can fix them.And the spider is old and really stiff so im wondering if thats bad or should i fix that also. It really wouldn't be worth fixing
Just go and get some new ones

they sell the foam surrounds on ebay pretty cheap for the jl subs, as for the spiders, i guess just loosen them up first n see what happens

stiff spider is what you want. it looks good in the pix just refoam it...

Agreed, you definitely don't want the spider to sag or else it defeats the purpose of even having it.
