So the AQ/AB are "not" shit they are just not as good as the FI/AA?
Would ALL of these suggested subs be better than what I am currently using?

I never said they had the best parts, all though their newest version is pretty decent considering. All companies have pros/cons with them. If you kill an HDC 99% of the time it is user error.
However, saying they sound bad is simply not true. I have been messing around with their subs since the original HD(pre china) to the current subs. From our builds, to clients builds, to the AQ scion(when we built it) they all sounded great with no issues of "hollowness" or other lacking sound/output.

OK just got off the phone with Shawn from FI.
They are running a sale right now on a bunch of crap, but basically Fully Loaded BL 18" D1 to my door is 334.
We figured out a box for my car that while being giant, will fit.
41x20x18 Which is 7 cubes, then it needs 72 sq in of port, which puts it at 6.25 cubes inside and then tunes it to 34hz. He said that should work well. It would be sub and port upwards. Sub up port back, or both back batter the **** out of my fiberglass hatch and it just sounds god awful.
Good plan?

I've never heard anyone say that DC make sq subs, and for sanctity of "sound quality subwoofers", none of the subs listed in this thread would be considered "sq". As far as having a flat response, low end extension, and accurate reproduction goes the main difference between most of the woofers listed will be determined by the box. Out of the ones you are considering I would focus on build quality, efficiency, and how easily they can play lower frequencies.

The more port area I have the more it cuts into the subs internal volume of the box though?
I am having such a hard time with this. I just cant sacrifice any more room than those dimensions. Those already put the sub like 10" from the roof of the car.

Ok an 18 is just NOT going to work for me. Talked to ProRabbit basically all day. I just am in denial about making an 18 fit. Not going to happen so I am considering just doing a GOOD 15. Do you guys think one Fully loaded BL 15" in a GOOD box will do better than my 12's?
6.22 Net
18x41x18
82 in2 of port
32.25 port length
34hz approx tuning
4.03 after port and sub displacement
Would that work well for a fully loaded BL 15 and be better than my 12's?
