JL 12w3 competitors??

I'm going to upgrade my subs pretty soon and I want to try something other than JL. I want something comparable to their 12w3. What do you guys recommend?

w3v3 is what I was talking about. I've never heard of OG w3.

Still a very musical sub. And will dominate the w3 in output.

The original W3 was quite the driver in its day(and still is imo). The w3v2 was good as well, same driver but with an inverted dust cap.
The w3v3 went a whole different direction and it just did not compare imo.

I'm not too terribly worried about a super-high sq because I believe that any decent sub can be tuned and put to the right volume and just add some depth. I just want something that can easily keep up with Fosgate door speakers on a Hifonics 100.4 in volume. I've heard a lot of good things about IA.

I had a 12w3d4 in my Mustang that looked like the v2. Granted, it was in a pathetic box and I had to redo the surround. I'd only been into car audio for like a month so I had no idea that my 1200 watt Xplod wasn't what I thought it was. It didn't sound that great, but like I said, ****** box. like. Abhorrent. My buddy had a w3v3 in his Sierra and it pounded hard.

Obsidian has a good price. And at 600 RMS is like perfect. I'm looking for 500-700. That and the Dayton are the ones I'm really interested in. I also want to try Treos but jeeeeeeeeez they are expensive.
