How does that work though...I thought if u under powered a sub u won't get the same performance as if u powered a sub ment for the power???

not true ,just will take along time to break them in and get louder.if your considering the xfl subs hit me up

those type x's were design to handle 2k read a little lower in that thread the builder corrected the op. and as far as under powering the subs ive never had a problem with ported sealed is just harder to make loud underpowered. the type x will sound fine on the 1200 per that that 2000d will send to each. then they will sound even better when you step up to a 3k amp or even better an saz3500d
