Ported box obviously. I don't know what Hz I should be at
I mostly all the time listen to rap and rock
Maybe where I can just buy one instead of building one. Any sites?

Id get one built on here, will be much better than a prefab, or if you know how to and have the tools buy a design from someone and build it yourself. I'm sure whoever builds it or gives you the design can recommend a good size and tuning for it.
well for the SA12 it says 1.5-2.0 ft^3 @ 35hz. I've been using this site RE AUDIO - Box Calculator to help but I can't seem to get the specs right without the box being HUGE.
I'd rather just buy one to be honest
Is this a good box for the SA12?

Talk to pro-rabbit, buck, double007 or a few others I can't think of right now i'm sure one of them can help
Is the one I mentioned above good? Seems to be tuned to the SA12
That calculator is worthless
Well for one reason, it doesn't incorporate the cars unique environment which greatly affects how it will perform, get a builder on here to design one for you
The RE calc is just "off" a bit in most cases and never yields the same results expected after building it. Tuning is almost always off with RE.
The biggest things to consider would be...
1. Power that you will be using(what amp)
2. What kind of goals do you have for the sub stage
3. What kind of music do you listen to mostly(or most commonly)
4. What car do you have(year/make/model)
5. What kind of space do you have to work with.. H x W x D
1. I'm using a Kicker11IX1000.1 amp to power a Sundown SA 12
2. Im thinking somwhere around 1.5-2.0 ft^3 @ 35hz (Thats whats recommended for the SA12 Sub on their site)
3. Rap and Rock
4. 2006 hyundai sonata
5. My trunks pretty bug, but I dont want something to huge 18 x 27 x 17 somewhere around there
I concur with Pro Rabbit.....please don't waste good money on a prefab box..a custom enclosure built around you and your listening needs would be a far better choice.....good luck with your search
With the specs and info I gave what would be suggested
Well, a standard size enclosure with a slot port is not all that large for a single 12".
You should be able to do a slot ported enclosure with 2ft3 and generous port area and be just fine.
