Read your subs manual. Specifically says dots on terminal indicate the second voice coil. Also has instructions on how to wire in series/parallel to present the correct ohm load on your amp.

It's just kicker's way of showing you which terminals go to which voice coil, most subs just have the terminals 2 to a side, kicker has them spread apart and the 2nd voice coil has the dots so you know which is which.

The "Dots" mean nothing, just to mark the + on one side, and the - on the other. What is your amp wire to?

Also that amp isn't 1 ohm stable bridged. The way you have it wired is giving it a load lower than it can handle.

Connect the positive with no dot the negative with a dot and then take your remaining positive and negative and connect it to the amp. (should be positive with a dot and negative with no dot)

You'll be running at 4 ohms bridged so it shouldn't overheat anymore.

Wrong. The dots do mean something, see above posts. And what is his amp wired to? I would assume subs...

Re: what,do dots terminals on subwoofers mean?

I have speaker wire running from a negative to positive terminal(not sure if they are terminals with dots or not) then the left over pos. An neg I have ran to my amp bridged. So doesn't that give me 4ohms bridged? Also my amp is 1ohm stable I think. So would it make sense for my amp to overheat if I have the wrong terminals together?

Just read my post. Your amp is 1 ohm stable Per channel, not bridged

Just do what my post says and you'll be fine.

Re: what,do dots terminals on subwoofers mean?

Your amp doesn't support 1-ohm load when it's bridged. Hard to diagnose problem with you "think" you wired it a certain way...
