2 12's or 1 15 or....?

ideas for ported system in a 06 g6? currently running 1k jl slash amp but might go ahead and buy all new gear and sell current . was thinking 2 sa 15's ?

yeah thinking 2 12's ported would leave me alot more room in the trunk . system is in my truck currently havent owned a car in 10 years so kinda dumb to space requirements lately it seems

Well 2 12's is more cone area so Its a no brainer if u wanted even more do 4 10's its all most equivalent to 2 15's

well im just trying to double what i had before . had oldschool ppi 1000watt on a 15" orion in a 2cuft sealed box and it HIT . before that had 4 cadence beaste 10's ported in same car same amp but wasnt as loud. wonder if it was cause i gave the orion 1000+ watts when it was rated 500 or because the 10's neede 500rms each and i gave em around 250rms each . just kinda confused on the whole how much louder a ported 15 is compared to a sealed one to achieve what im wanting... thanks for the replies keep em coming lol

yeah saw a guy on here new brand of subs (forget the name sorry) had a 12 ported in his g6 and it killed his car lol . so i guess the question would be cuase i may only have room for ported 12's and sealed 15's . 2 ported 12's or 2 sealed 15's?

I'd do 4 SA8's on about 2k. Keep your trunk and have bass to boot.

could be another option but if i do the sa12s can use my same amp 8's id have to upgrade . which i could be ok with forsure but wife might be pissed :P guess its easier to ask for forgiveness than permission

foward sealed off. You would be loud. If you don't want to seal it I would do the 15 with the port facing rear on drivers side. It would be nasty too.
