Two kicker comp 12's one Alpine Type R 10
Real odd question. I haven't decided if I want to buy two kicker comp 12s and just put them in the sealed box I already have in my truck or if I should go with one alpine type R 10 In a ported box. I've heard that in a small area like my truck a ported box is a good choice.

I heard a 12 inch type R on a RF1000bdcp, and that woofer had some slamming output. It was ported in an ford f350
Haven't heard the Kicker.

Forgot to say my truck is an extended cab ranger and I have two twelves in it being Pushed by a 1000 watt Sony xplod amp. One sub is a pioneer one a Sony xplod, both simple walmart subs, but they beat in my truck. There in a huge sealed box that is squeezed in my back seat area.

The smaller cone area ported will be more impressive for what it is. Type R are good for the buck, so are comps however and 2 12s is a ton more cone area than 1 10; even sealed vs ported. It's all a preference. Ported just sounds better to me, and again is more impressive for what it is. Voted Type R in this instance.

I'd say Type R for what you wanna do. But if you've got the room for the Comps they can get loud on real low watts. Had a pair in the wife's minivan. Was pretty impressed for 300 watts.

Don't mean to post jack but would 1 woofer ported vs 2 woofers sealed generally have more output or does cone area usually win out if you have identical woofers??

Go with the one type R, personally I'm not a fan of kicker or the sound they produce
