Powering a JL 12W6V2
Right now im running my JLw6V2 at 8 ohms on a Solid Audio F11D, Its receiving around 200rms.
I was wondering if it the JL could handle being run at at 2 ohms for 760rms abouts? From what ive ready its been usually mixed advice and opinion so far on whether it would be wise to.

Re: Powering a JL 12W6V2
If you send it a clean 760w RMS, should be fine, depending on the box.

Re: Powering a JL 12W6V2
It's in a sealed box about 1.45 after displacement.

Re: Powering a JL 12W6V2
Should be fine, mine get about that power (perhaps less with voltage drop) and they're in about 1.9-2 cubes, ported.

Re: Powering a JL 12W6V2
ust keep the gain a little lower than max power though i would expect it to handle that power unless u listen to straight dubstep or rap with low low notes

I do occasionally but more along the lines of rock and such.

Re: Powering a JL 12W6V2
Depending on your enclosure I would say 500-600 watts is solid for it in the recommended size.

Re: Powering a JL 12W6V2
600WRMS is their suggested max (warranty), but if you gain down and send it clean power it should take 750.
Especially if you have appreciable rise around the main freq's
