how are memphis m5's?

i did a search on here to see what everyone had to say about them, but surprisingly couldn't find anything on here about them

i was at a car audio shop out here in san diego and saw them there and they looked like pretty quality subs. they were priced at about $150 per 10". i dont know if that is the average price for these or not. but opinions on these things please?

yea they generally cost like 249 for the 10, 289 for the 12, and 329 for the 15

the sa series from sundown still shames them though as well as the skarr vvx and ia lethal injection, add in the new gcon, and id really like to say the type r is better but they are a little to close to say.

if u can get them for 150 they are a great sub that can handle more than rated, built with nice quality but if you are like me and cant just get dealer price which is what that is i would look elsewhere

cause whoever you are buying from isnt making much more than a penny since the price sheet for the ten is 149.99 and list is 249.99

sounds awesome. the guy said he could give me two 10"s, a memphis amp, and the box and install and everything for $400! but i unfortunately don't have the money at the moment...

i've kind of narrowed it down to the memphis m5, kicker cvr, or alpine type r.... can't really decide though.

he can get you an m5 and amp and box for 400 i doubt it but if you can all the better for you. thats less than cost on all the components

dont go after anything new with memphis. i would look at 2009 and earlier if anything.
