    JL Audio or Infinity sub?

Which would be a better sub to buy, the Infinity 100.1DVC or the JL Audio 10W6?

infinity all the way. both are good subs, but i personally think that infinity subs are above the rest. i dont have any but my freind let me use his for about three months and it was the best sub i have ever used. its tight clean, and can take A LOT of watts... ure choice tho

go with the W6 cuz they can take 500 rms and sound excellent. jl is way underrated. jl is a lil bit more expensive though.

4 in favor of Infinity and 3 in favor of JL.
I figured it could be close but wasn't sure what the masses thought.

    Icon14 JL

I would go with JL because I have had a lot of good experience with JL audio w6's they are the clearest sounding subs I've heard

I'd lean toward the 10w6 for all aspects of the spectrum...

The infinity sub you've mentioned is a fine sub, but the perfect series is probably a lot better and more comparable to the w6 series. Although the w6s came out about 7 years ago, if I'm remembering correctly, these were the subs that single handedly changed the engineering and goals and design of car audio subs forever. It was unheard of the very tiny boxes they required compared to all the rest. I can't believe that they are still a very strong competitor as far as subs go.

If you were having trouble over the making a decision between an infinity perfect series sub and the w6, I'd say go perfect series, but the w6s are very tight, clean, strong, hard hitting subs. can't go wrong

only problem is that you basically need 3 of them to make a proper load on your amp, unless you got an amp that likes either a 6ohm load or a 3 ohm stereo load.
