i had the same problem with my friends '97 lumina. i WAS running a vr3 200 watt to a pioneer 800. it sounded like complete ****. i found out the wiring he used in it for the power supply from the battery was roughly a 26-30 guage wire so i replaced it with 8 gauge, that got it bumping a little harder. after awhile i replaced it with a pyramid P717x arctic series 1000 watts. you can definitely tell it has subs in the back now... so with the position your in, i would just upgrade to a higher wattage amp

The setup in this vehicle now dominates the whole issue of being soundproof. The entire car is being pulled to pieces and i can move pictures in houses i park 15-20 feet in front of. We'll see how loud it gets on an AQ2200D

So you're telling me you don't really care how it sounds inside, you just want to be able to rattle your car and have other people hear it from as far as possible?

You can certainly hear it in the car, it rattles a little bit that you can hear. Not amazing though

My friend has an HCCA and it hits hard and you can hear it from a long distance away. It will move my car just being parked next to his!

Being loud outside the car isn't going to get you anywhere except ticketed. While it does feel good the first few times someone comes up and tells you that they felt you inside their car, or the building they were in; it will get old. I have people call me up now because they know I was somewhere in the area....

Do things that makes it louder in the vehicle. It's so much more rewarding for it to be deadened from outside and have some punk want to hear it then having them bail because it is so intense inside the vehicle.

Car now has audiotechnix being put into it, i had to cut my heat shield off to make it much more pleasant to hear both inside and outside the cabin

i dont knock him for wanting it to be louder outside...i mean i do want my ish loud on the inside..but having it loud on the outside can be a plus. and to combat people taking your ish...get an alarm...not that car audio store crap..but a nice car alarm and park in the garage as well..get a trunk lock solves and kill switch for ignition when outside the car...solves the problem...some people dont want to show off...but i agree with it...to an extent that is. most id wanna show off is my trunk shredding halfway to pieces while bassing in the area...setting off car alarms at the store? someone calling me saying they heard me? thats my reward..ill leave SQ to my home theater
