no. strapping amps makes them act as one. the negative lead of both subs goes to the positive of the slave amp. the positive wire goes to the positive on the master amp..

yep and the way box rise works he will be fine with it. its the only real way to get rated out of these amps or most amps for that matter

a friend of mine is running a pair of the HD 15's on 2k and is doing pretty good with them
