    ported or sealed sub Im confused

    looking at getting a ported single 10 or 2 sealed 10s I have no idea on this subject but I hear ported is loader but sounds bad? Sealed is real bass? Is this right

    nope ,dont know where you got your info.ported will be alot louder ,sealed has a better bandwidth and tighter bass .usually ported at 32 htz is a very good box,if this helps at all.

    No. These myths you hear are a common perception of pre fab enclosures. In the custom enclosure world, almost anything is possible. You can pm me if you want help. If you don't know what woofer(s) you want I can help too.

    well I am having my whole system installed at a shop I was either getting the p1 rockforte 10 ported or 2 10 inch primes sealed. When u say tight bass do u mean like a accurate bass where as ported is just for noise?

    ported can be just as tight as sealed.

    no i mean the woofer just dont move as well as in a sealed,because of air restrictions.i like ported and i think woofers last longer and stay cooler because of the air movement.
