Any opinions on on performance?

I was considering getting one for a while. Jacob said they were just a small step under the SA line which is pretty big shoes to fill. Also was told that they were more sealed friendly as i was wanting to do 1 SD12 sealed.
Didnt hear from anyone that actually had one though.....

1.5cubes ported to 36hz on a good 5-600w sould do fine if u go sealed i suggest .8 cubes. the ia 5.1would be a good match for a sd10d2

ATM I have a ss rub 600.4 I was thinking of bridging the channels for them so around 300w for each. For the future since im in a tight budget I was gonna go for an audiopipe mini 1000w amp
Any reason for high tuning for the port? Usually for subs on the forum i see around 32-33hz for the port. Im still a newbie at the game. These will be my first subs. In hoping they will compliment my dd 6.5 comps. Im looking for more towards sq but the sd's i got from the b stock sale Jacob was having on caco. Would a sealed box be better? I want my car to shake but im not in the game for spl by any means. Just smooth bass that can get loud and low but sound good doing it
i generally tune 30-34 for 12s and 34-38for tens based on the fact that the larger cones reproduce lower notes more prominently or with greater ease but this is my general ways. u can tune to 30hz with a ten but it will be louder tuned higher other factors can change this but again it just a general way. my two z12s are tuned to 30hz and i love them but when i tuned my dd 2510 to 38 it was depressing i picked the tuning up to 40 and it played down to 30hz fine but got alot louder for everyday music.
i cannot speak on the sealed situation i have no experience with sundown and sealed but i have found though a number of subs that .8 cubes works great for tens and allows them to catch the lower notes a bit easier.
all in all i still recommend getting one of the design guys on here to design a box specifically for your vehicle, it might cost u a few bucks but they know their stuff and have more experience then me. ramdesigns, mobileenclosures, and prorabbit are a few of the guys i suggest. buck used to do it for a buck lol but idk if he still does pm them for more info

SD-2s perform very similarly to an SA overall -- just with less maximum power handling and less x-max -- so within their limits they are similar.

Better SQL, these or Dcons? Same price range pretty much right?
Any other opinions
