$400 setup for Guy at School, suggestions

Okay, i have $400 to work with from a kid at school. NO MORE than $400 tho...i need to make some money off of it...but not rip him off. This budget is for subs, amp, wiring, and custom box by me, and full install. He wants 2 12's....but i could convince him to go one 12 if it'll really beat the 2 12's. I have a few setups in mind, but would like input.
    12" RE SE- $170???
    Profile ca800- $130
    Box costs: $30
    Install Kit: $25
I make $45...kinda ******...but may be able to get him to spring on the amp kit...so i may make $65.
    2-3cubes ported @30hz

    2 12" ed Kx's $170 plus shipping...bout $185?
    Profile cl600m: $100
    Box costs: $30
    Install Kit: $25
    I make $60...ok...w/o install kit...$85
    4 cubes ported @ 30hz

    1 eD B2 12" $140 plus shipping...bout $155
    Profile ca800- $130
    Box Costs: $30
    Install kit: $25
    I make $60
    2-3 cubes ported @ 28hz

any other suggestions? i was also thinkin possibly 2 RE re12's? what is their fone # so i can find out if they are readily available...i don't have flash right now and can't d/l it so i can't access site. thanx for other comments/suggestions. peace

Go and get jl 12 w0's and a cheap amp from best buy or get some cheap subs at best buy too. That will leave you with a round $100-150. Thats what i would do

The SE is a good call.

eD also has the dual 12 Kx.44 sale going on ... two for $150 shipped.

yea, 2 12" KX's would probly do well. I havent heard them or anything though. Id get em, theyd be pretty easy for u to setup also, not having to deal with porting and ****.

Re: $400 setup for Guy at School, suggestions

Well, i've decided to go with the 2 12" eD Kx's. I'm going to put them in 4cubes net ported @35hz. Amp will be a profile Clarus cl600m. Should work well with the subs getting 225 watts rms a piece in that ported enclosure. Pickin up a scosche wiring kit from walmart. Pretty good system for $400 installed, and custom box built. peace
