in the one pix the pole looks welded to the backplate, is that just from plating?

looks like a nice sub, drawback no pole vent for sexxy time

So you are going to redo the whole sa line or not? if so i think i might save some money for pre order of a 15 or an 18.

The SA-10/12/15 will remain the same for some time -- the next line up will get new frames when ready (no public info yet).

Yes, it's from plating -- it's all one piece

Aesthetically speaking I like how the surround is sewed to the cone. It's somewhat unusual to see this. Overall, very impressive sub. Almost looks over-engineered for its purpose.

Rating will remain the same -- mechanically they are more rugged. Thermally they are on-par (pretty much nobody thermally hurt an SA-8 ever).
