    Were is the best place to put round ports???

    I have a 4ft3 box for my 15" and i wanted to put 2 4" X 10" ports in the box. that would tune it to about 38-40. But i dont know were to put them

    put them on the same side as the sub if possible

    If you do put them on the same side as the sub, just ensure that you have clearance at the rear of the sub that is EQUAL TO OR GREATER THAN the inner diameter of the port. Meaning from the back lip of the port to any rear wall of your enclosure. It really doesn't matter where in the box you put it and you can actually utilize part of the port sticking out of the box to vent the box into say, the rear speaker hole of a car through the rear deck. I've gotten acoustic amplification also by having the port aimed towards the side of the vehicle lengthening the wave length to your ear. As long as its the right size, you can play with it (so to speak) until you find a happy medium if you'd like.
