    15" Dc lvl 4xl vs 6 SA 8's

Ok I currently have a 15" dc lvl 4 XL 15" with an extra spider.. It's n my extended cab s10 and hit a 145 in the kick at scrapin the coast.. I wanna be in the 50's tho and really don't want another 15" bc I dnt want both of my seats basically all the way up so I thought about doing 6 sa 8's along the back wall ported and facing up.. My current amp is aq2200.. Lemme kno what y'all think.

Well...one thing I can tell you is your going to need more power to get up to a 150, switching sub might gain you some... but 5+ db no.

Putting 3500 on a level 5 will get you a couple. Those 8s wont cut it. You need more cone area and power to get 5dbs

what is your width? I have a big ass toyota tundra and with port you won't have enough room unless you are making a 20"+ deep box... You will want more power also.. I have a 3k for 4 of them and will be wiring em to .5 will be up over 1 after rise.. will be sending em atleast 2200 will see what they like though..

    Re: 15" Dc lvl 4xl vs 6 SA 8's

I've always kinda wondered this and I think this would be a good time to ask but ASSUMING 5 8s had the same cone area as an 18. I think the 8s have a 2 inch throw and most 18s have atleast a 3" throw wouldn't the the 18 get louder GENERALLY based upon the fact the 18 has more throw therefore moving more air in the car?
